Penn State Cooperative Extension in Philadelphia strives to be the single point of contact for information and education to the residents of the city on foods and nutrition, 4-H/youth programs, urban gardening, family strengths, urban entomology and horticulture. The staff are dedicated professionals, knowledgeable in their areas of expertise, and ready and willing to work with anyone who seeks their assistance.

Penn State Cooperative Extension provides Philadelphia citizens with up-to-date information and new ways to solve individual and community problems. The backbone of this community-based educational network is people working together --extension agents, nutrition and garden advisors, volunteers, and faculty sharing the resources and expertise of the Penn State College of Agriculture with local residents.
